studied in Paris with Ernest Hébert and Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant. Their influence one can see in the figural and oriental paintings of Dagnac-Rivière.
His impressionistic style of painting derives from his time at the Academy Julian 1884-89.
He exhibits first time in 1889 at the paris Salon. Annual participations were following.
